Class Times
Tuesdays & Thursdays – 6:45 pm

Who this class is for

Our Muay Thai classes are suitable for all experience levels, from complete beginners through to experienced strikers.

Whether your goal is to improve your fitness, learn self-defence, lose weight, build confidence or simply enjoy a challenging workout, you'll be welcomed into a friendly and supportive environment.

If you're new to Muay Thai, don't worry—we'll teach you the fundamentals step by step.

What you'll learn

Each class focuses on developing solid Muay Thai skills, including:

  • Boxing fundamentals and combinations

  • Kicks, knees and defensive techniques

  • Footwork and movement

  • Pad work and partner drills

  • Clinch fundamentals

  • Light technical sparring (optional when you're ready)

  • Fitness and conditioning

Every session is designed to improve your technique, fitness, coordination and confidence.

Sparring

Light technical sparring is available for students who would like to participate, but there is absolutely no pressure to spar.

Beginners will first learn the fundamentals through drills and pad work before progressing to controlled sparring when they feel comfortable and have been approved by the coach.

Our focus is on learning, safety and good technique—not trying to knock each other out.

What to bring

For your first class, simply bring:

  • Comfortable training clothes

  • A water bottle

As you continue training, you'll eventually need:

  • Boxing gloves (16oz recommended)

  • Hand wraps

  • Shin guards

  • Mouthguard (required for sparring)

If you're unsure what equipment to buy, we're happy to help.

Our culture

At Smooth Muay Thai, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming, respectful and ego-free training environment.

We ask all members to:

  • Respect their training partners.

  • Train with control and good sportsmanship.

  • Listen to coaches and follow safety instructions.

  • Encourage and support others as they learn.

Whether you're training for fitness, self-defence or competition, you'll be part of a team that is committed to helping you improve while enjoying the journey.
