Beginner Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Class Outline
In our Beginner Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class, we focus on building a strong foundation in the fundamental techniques of BJJ. The class begins with an introduction to the key positions, such as guard, mount, and side control. You'll learn essential escapes like shrimping and bridging, and begin practicing basic submissions, including the Cross Collar Choke and Armbar.
Students will practice these techniques through partner drills, focusing on slow, controlled movements to ensure proper form and understanding. As you gain confidence, you'll engage in positional sparring, where you'll apply the techniques learned in class against varying levels of resistance. This sparring helps develop the ability to react to different situations and improve your decision-making on the mat.
