Coach Nikolai
Coach Nikolai is an instructor at Smooth Jiu Jitsu Academy Moss Vale and one of the academy’s top competitors. A NSW No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion, Nikolai has competed extensively across Australia as well as internationally at the European Championships.
With experience across Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, and kickboxing, Nikolai brings a well-rounded and highly practical approach to his coaching. His classes focus on strong fundamentals, technical detail, and creating a positive learning environment for students of all experience levels.
Starting as a student at Smooth Jiu Jitsu before progressing into an instructor role, Nikolai understands the journey from beginner through to advanced training and is passionate about helping students improve both on and off the mats.
Nikolai currently teaches both kids and adult classes and is available for private lessons. He also holds a current Working With Children Check and First Aid certification.
